The OC3/STM1 plug-in card provides OC3/STM1 access for the Loop-V4200-28 port IMAP. 1 to 1 protection is obtained when two cards are used. Each Loop-V4200-28 IMAP provides access for 1/3 of the OC3 capacity, so three Loop-V4200-28 IMAP systems in tandem will provide full OC3 access.
Multicolor LEDs provide status indication for power/standby, LOS, LOF and test. Internal firmware is stored in flash memory so that future firmware upgrades can be downloaded.
The Loop-V 4200 series supports local control and diagnostics by using a VT-100 terminal connected to the console port. Loop-V 4200 series also supports Ethernet, Telnet, and SNMP, so that it can be controlled and diagnosed from remote locations.
